Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This website is operated by Pragnesh Menon, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, acting in a personal capacity. For anything in this policy, email hello@pragnesh.me.

The site is a personal project. It is not operated by, and does not speak for, any employer or other organisation.

2. What this site does not do

• It does not ask you to register, log in or fill in any form.
• It does not run analytics, tracking pixels, heat maps or session recording.
• It does not show advertising or use advertising networks.
• It does not embed third-party content such as videos, maps, social widgets or external fonts.
• It does not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.

3. Data processed automatically when you visit

Like every website, the server that delivers these pages receives technical information from your browser in order to respond to your request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring address if your browser sends one, and your browser and operating-system identifier. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which may keep this information in standard server logs for a limited period for security, abuse prevention and fault-finding. I do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

Legal basis, where one is required: my legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure. Retention follows the hosting provider's standard log rotation.

4. Storage in your browser

The site sets no cookies of its own. When you make a choice in the cookie banner, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key pm-consent-v1, together with the date you made it. It contains no identifier, is never transmitted to this site or anyone else, and exists only so the banner does not reappear on every visit. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser or by choosing "Cookie settings" in the footer and making a new choice. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

5. If you contact me

If you email me, I receive what you send: your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. I use it only to reply and to keep the conversation going, and I keep it as long as that conversation is useful, or longer where I am legally required to. Email is delivered by my mail provider, which processes it on my behalf.

6. Links to other sites

The site links to LinkedIn and to other external pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which I do not control. Outbound links are set so that your browser does not pass the page you came from as a referrer.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation, or similar laws. These typically include the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because this site collects almost nothing, the data I could hold about you is usually limited to email you have sent me. To exercise any right, write to hello@pragnesh.me.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. It contains no user database and no login, which removes the most common ways personal data is exposed.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

If the site ever starts using analytics or any other service that processes personal data, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated first, and nothing optional will run without your consent. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision.
